<p><a href="http://www.kidzvuz.com/">KidzVuz</a> &#8211; Social media site where kids can create video reviews of food, books, movies and clothes.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.clubpenguin.com/">Club Penguin</a> &#8211; For the pre-tween set&#8230;a safe online experience.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.fashionplaytes.com/">FashionPlaytes.com</a> &#8211; For girls 5-12 to design and order custom-made garments.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.playgroundnationonline.com/">Playground Nation Online</a> &#8211; A social platform for school-age children to learn how to create Internet content.</p>

IHC has five busy locations in Columbus with over 27 staff members who noticed the recent changes in their marketing efforts, yet were not sure of the details. Sure they had done other media and event marketing &#8211; even gave out some tricky “Spine” pens, and…need we mention the “Yellow Pages”? But&#8230;.<a title="Facebook - Inner Health Chiropractic" href="https://www.facebook.com/columbuschiropractor">Facebook</a>? <a title="#feelbetter" href="http://www.twitter.com/IHChiro">Twitter hashtags</a>? QR Codes? <a title="Manic Massage Mondays - sign up" href="https://www.facebook.com/columbuschiropractor/app_197602066931325">Manic Massage Mondays</a>? <a title="Meet Us " href="https://www.facebook.com/columbuschiropractor/app_158528187610217">Event Outreach</a>? What?</p>
<p>MJ2 decided to go back to a bit of the “old ways” of educating the IHC staff and scheduled brief meetings in each office to demonstrate these new social marketing channels in person.  Meeting the staff offered both (IHC and MJ2) the opportunity to put a few faces to the names, time to show IHC how their patients were engaging on the IHC Facebook page and gave them confidence in knowing that they were being properly represented with their social marketing. Yes, MJ2 has their back!</p>
<p>Overall the enthusiasm has been great! The IHC teams are very excited to participate on Facebook and through various outreach events. They posed for pictures, shared some stories and are anxious to participate.</p>
<p>Everyone at IHC is ready to make this a successful project but more important, they are ready to help people feel better with awareness about health and wellness. We call that…<a href="http://www.twitter.com/IHChiro">#feelbetter</a>!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>With Mother&#8217;s Day a little over a week away, the MJ2 team developed a Mother&#8217;s Day promotion for our client, Priority Mortgage Corp.  Over the years, Priority Mortgage has been touched by breast cancer.  It is a cause near and dear to the Priority family. And, with the timing of the recently released book by Chris Spielman, &#8220;That&#8217;s Why I&#8217;m Here: The Chris &amp; Stefanie Spielman Story,&#8221; we created a Facebook giveaway event.  It&#8217;s simple really.  To be eligible to win one of ten copies of the book, one needs to &#8220;join&#8221; the Facebook event.  At the end of the promotion, we will draw and announce the 10 winners and will coordinate delivery.</p>
<p>Further, to support the efforts of the event and build awareness about it, MJ2&#8242;s Ashley Fithen, designed a special Facebook timeline photo and Facebook avatar centered around the giveaway.</p>

<p>This promotion was twofold.  We were able to create some buzz about Priority and to provide the Priority Mortgage sales team a reason to connect and reach out to friends, family, referral sources and clients.  The sales team has embraced it.  It was an easy fit, because, let&#8217;s face it&#8230;.moms or mother figures are special to all of us!</p>
<p>To roll out the promotion, a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/419513124739233/">Facebook event was created detailing the giveaway</a>.  After that event was live on Facebook, instructions were written and emailed to the Priority Mortgage sales team with ideas for postings on Facebook or emails to send to databases. As with all sales groups, each loan officer has their own style, so having many options is important and key for executing a successful campaign.</p>
<p>Here is a sample of the postings we shared with the Priority loan officer team:</p>

<p>We are excited to see the results.  In addition, it has been rewarding to see the sales staff at Priority take the project and run with it.  You know you&#8217;re off to a great start when you can grow enthusiasm internally!</p>
<p>We&#8217;ll report back on our final statistics in the coming weeks.</p>

<p>The compilation of this information is particularly advantageous given the recent events in Southeast, Ohio. With the recent drilling in this area, many people are finding themselves with large amounts of money in exchange for leasing or selling their land. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><a rel="attachment wp-att-2357" href="http://www.mj2marketing.com/2012/04/community-management-event-support-and-promotion/tn-5/"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-2357" title="tn-5" src="http://www.mj2marketing.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/tn-5-320x240.jpg" alt="" width="320" height="240" /></a>This week is the biggest marketing week for our client, <a href="http://www.firedex.com/">Fire-Dex</a>.  Fire-Dex manufactures turnout gear and accessories for those in fire and EMS service.  Their biggest annual trade show, <a href="http://www.fdic.com/index.html">FDIC</a> in Indianapolis, is going on right now.   Firefighters converge in Indianapolis at the start of the week for important hands-on and classroom training.  At the end of the week, vendors and others in the industry participate in a blowout expo.</p>
<p>Fire-Dex begins planning for their next FDIC as soon as the show ends.  Their booth includes everything from areas to try on their gear, talk to sales reps and take the Fire-Dex Challenge for opportunities to win daily prizes.  Once they have developed their plan and theme for the booth, we assist with the social marketing strategy and planning.  Their social marketing campaign this year includes their blog, their Facebook community, their Twitter community and an email campaign.</p>
<p>Last year at the start of FDIC,  they had approximately 400 Facebook fans.  That fan base grew by 275+ as a result of the event and incentives to become a fan of the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/FireDex">Fire-Dex page</a>. This year, we started with 7,000 more fans than last year.  We used that base to start promoting the Fire-Dex booth and the booth promotions and highlights 4-6 weeks prior to the event.</p>
<p>Further, Fire-Dex released newly designed gear and gloves to their community in the 2 months prior to the event.  Perfect timing and perfect storytelling opportunities!</p>
<p>Since the Fire-Dex online community was exponentially larger than the previous year, MJ2 recommended that Fire-Dex offer an <a href="http://blog.firedex.com/2012/04/12/win-with-fire-dex-at-fdic-and-virtually/">online, &#8220;virtual&#8221; event</a> for their followers that were unable to attend FDIC this year.  To continue growing their fan base, they offered this event with a <a href="https://www.facebook.com/events/193146850802530/">Facebook event</a> and for email sign-ups (new and old).</p>
